If you place a premium on versatility, the All Condition Armadillo Elite Tire is for you. The siped tread pattern offers excellent wet and dry traction, rolls fast and corners great. Plus, this tire features Specialized's legendary Armadillo technology for the ultimate in flat prevention, while the 120-thread-per-inch casing provides great handling and a smooth ride.

Specialized's Armadillo Elite Puncture Protection.
Armadillo Elite is Specialized's toughest all-around puncture protection for 4-season high-mileage riding. It provides superior puncture resistance in a lightweight package with a folding tire bead. A Kevlar cap-ply (see image, light blue) protects the sidewalls and provides bead-to-bead puncture protection, plus an additional nylon belt (see image, red) under the tread increases durability where the tire contacts the ground.

The high thread-per-inch casing let this tire conform to the road/trail for superior cornering and comfort.

    Comments:

This is a great tire, I had a bike for two years with these tires on it and never had a flat. My bike was stolen and I purchase a new trex bike and the sales person told me that their brand Bontrager AW3 H was the same as the Armadillo Tire. What a mistake I made, within a short time of ridding my new bike with these tires I got a flat from a thorn. My wife and two friend have bikes with the Armadillo tires on them and have been ridding their bikes in the same terrain for a least two years and have never gotten a flat. When my Bontrager tires wear down I will be replacing them with the Armadillo tires.

    Comments:

I replaced the stock tires that came with my Specized Roubaix with these tires and I could not be happier. The peace of mind of knowing they are far more durable than the stock tires is priceless on long rides out here in the desert. These tires also have a much more "sure" feel to them, even at the same pressure as the old tires they just feel more... I don't know really how to explain it ... it's just feeling you get through your seat when you are on quality tires, you feel safer and more sure about yourself and your machine.

Had issues with flat with my Michelin tires. I switched to the Specialized and never had any flat. I did over 4000 kms last summer including a trip Montreal to New Brunsick without any issues.
